the sound of the truck starting, the sound of a patrol truck approaching from the distance, gun sounds, fire sounds, enemy shouts, jungle sounds, the list just goes on. Things like walking down a path anticipating an attack, approaching a building or fortress expecting a sniper, getting caught in the middle of a fire fight, moving around the fight scene listening to my enemies shout at me and curse themselves and get scared or angry or whatever, the guns jamming mid fight, boating down a waterway, the freedom I feel when I get a quadbike, coming back to find my vehicle after clearing an area or safehouse, the sounds. When I think of it all, I don't remember any game which made me 'feel' the game world as much as FC2.

Actually, a lot of the relevant things in the game were impactful, and I could 'feel' them. And going offroad to avoid an outpost put my offroading skills to test. My second playthrough (last year) was in highest difficulty. It was realistic and unrealistic at the same time (like every other game I guess).

I just want to see how other people's experiences with it went. I'm aware a lot of people don't like the game.
